My First Memory of Dance: Assane Konte

About

This short film was created for Heritage Works, a Detroit-based nonprofit celebrating cultural expression through dance. The story follows a renowned Senegalese dancer as she recalls her first memory of dance — a moment of rhythm, tradition, and joy.

I Co-Produced, Co-Directed, and Co-Creative Directed the film, while also contributing to storyboarding and cel animation. Working alongside Mel McCann at EatRice Studio, we built a small but passionate team of student and recent grad artists to bring this vision to life.
